Musicians Supporting the CLASSICS Act

There is an impressive group of musicians -- I bet many of your favorites -- supporting the CLASSICS Act. The law, if passed, would mean that artists with rights in pre-1972 sound recordings could be fairly compensated.

Under existing law, there is an arbitrary cut-off that prevents those holding rights in pre-1972 recordings from availing themselves of the protections of federal copyright law.
