LifeLine Service
While I don't necessarily agree on all aspects of the Minority Media & Telecommunications Council's positions on the FCC's Universal Service subsidy programs, I do agree on the importance of a robust LifeLine program to help ensure that low-income persons have access to communications services, including broadband. So, I wanted to call your attention to this piece from MMTC's Kenneth Mallory. With the economy still in the dumps, the a well-functioning LifeLine program is especially important to ensure that low-income persons, including minorities, stay connected.
